Using & Saving Water - Eligible Products

You can claim a rebate for the following eligible products.

Rainwater Tanks

A household rainwater tank collects rainwater for use inside or outside your home.  Your rebate for a tank 600 litres or greater is $150. An additional $150 is available if the tank is connected to the toilet.

  • $1000 for a tank 4000+ litres connected to toilet and laundry.
  • $900 for a tank 4000+ litres connected to toilet or laundry.
  • $500 for a tank 2000 - 3999 litres connected to toilet and/or laundry.

Greywater Systems

A greywater permanent tank system recycles waste water from laundries and bathrooms for use on the garden or in the toilet. Your rebate is $500.

Hot Water Recirculator

A hot water recirculator saves cold water in the hot water pipes by diverting this cold water back into the hot water system or cold water plumbing.  This reduces water wastage by allowing the water to be used within the home.  Your Rebate is $150. Systems directing cold water to rainwater tanks or storage for outdoor use are NOT eligible.

Dual Flush Toilet

A dual flush toilet uses 3 litres of water on a half flush and 6 litres on a full flush or less. Your rebate is $50.

Three-Star Water Efficient Showerhead

A water efficient showerhead can use 30% less water than a normal showerhead and can be fitted to most showers.  Up to two showerhead rebates are available per property.

  • $10 rebate per showerhead costing between $30 - $100.
  • $20 rebate per showerhead costing more than $100.

Swap your old showerhead over for a water-efficient one for FREE with your water retailer.

Water Conservation Home Audits

A service to assess where a household could save water and recommend products and methods that would help to achieve this.  Your rebate is $50.

A Basket of Goods

When you spend $100, your rebate is $30.  Includes products such as mulch (includes pebbles or other inorganic materials which are used as mulch), flow control valves, compost or mulch bin, soil moisture and rain sensors, wetting/moisture agents, drip watering systems, weep hoses, garden tap timers, trigger nozzles, rainwater diverters, temporary greywater diverters, waterless car cleaning products, shower timers and toilet flush interrupter devices,  One basket offer rebate is available per eligible customer each year.
