Sustainability VictoriaThe Victorian Government established the Sustainability Fund under the Environment Protection Act 1970 (Victoria) which established the Fund. Money paid into the fund from the Victorian Landfill Levy is provided for the purposes of fostering environmentally sustainable use of resources and best practices in waste management. The Fund is jointly administered by the Victorian Treasurer and Minister for Environment and Climate Change and managed by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government. The Fund has supported three rounds of open grants since 2004 and has provided $61.3 million in funding to support 166 projects in businesses, local government, community groups and schools. Resource Recovery FundingSustainability Victoria offers two infrastructure grant programs for resource recovery within the Municipal, Commercial, Industrial, Demolition and Construction Sectors. The programs directly assist Towards Zero Waste (TZW) Strategy targets by 2014.
